What is Microsoft Commerce Incentives (MCI)?
MCI is Microsoft’s centralized incentive program for certified Solutions Partners. Partners earn rewards — including co-op funds — for driving adoption of Microsoft solutions. Exelegent directs those co-op funds toward subsidizing the cost of your engagement.

Who can benefit
US-based companies with 250 to 5,000 employees running Microsoft 365 are the primary candidates. To access subsidized engagements, your company works directly with Exelegent as a certified Microsoft Solutions Partner. Eligibility is confirmed in a 5-minute call at no cost.

- Has not completed a partner-delivered assessment in Microsoft fiscal year
- Open to a 30 to 90-day engagement to address a current security

What does Microsoft get out of this?
Microsoft benefits when companies get more value from their existing investments — and stay on the platform. MCI is designed to encourage that. Exelegent earns co-op funds by delivering engagements that drive adoption of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Security solutions. It’s a partner incentive program, not a charity — but the financial benefit to you is real.
How long does the engagement take?
It depends on which engagement you qualify for. A Cybersecurity Assessment typically runs 2 to 4 weeks. A Know Your Data discovery engagement runs 3 to 6 weeks. We confirm scope and timeline before anything starts — you’ll know exactly what to expect before committing.
What if my company doesn't fit the criteria?
The criteria listed are the typical profile for MCI co-op subsidized engagements. If your company falls outside those parameters, we’ll tell you on the call — no pressure, no follow-up sequence. In some cases, partial subsidy options still apply. The 15-minute call is the fastest way to find out where you stand.
Are we obligated to buy anything after the assessment?
No. The assessment is a standalone deliverable. You receive the report, the risk score, and the roadmap — whether or not you move forward with Exelegent afterward. If what we find creates a project you want help with, we’ll present options. That decision is entirely yours.
