01. What do you do at Exelegent? What is your typical day like?
As the Corporate Partnerships Manager, I dedicate most of my day to working closely with Microsoft, strengthening our relationships, and delivering the value of the Microsoft ecosystem to our customers for their benefit.
I typically start my day at 9 AM, and my first tasks involve checking emails and Teams and responding to ongoing matters. In between meetings, I support my team with planning, strategy, and addressing any urgent questions.
In a broader sense, my role entails creating strategies for Exelegent to expand and enhance its partnership portfolio. Additionally, I allocate time to engage with potential partners, aiming to bring added value to our company. And yes, as you may have guessed by now, I am a sociable and talkative person 😊.
02. What was the main factor that influenced you to join Exelegent?
When I was seeking new career opportunities, I wasn’t quite sure where I saw myself.
I grew up in Azerbaijan and lived in various European countries, including Sweden, Germany, and Latvia, while pursuing my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. My academic background is in International Relations and Communications.
Currently, I’m enjoying life in Toronto. I have been working in event and partnerships management positions for over 8 years. My curiosity about being a part of a North American technology company that aims to protect businesses from cyber-attacks led me to Exelegent.
03. What challenges you in your role? What do you enjoy the most about it?
I am continually learning and striving to acquire new knowledge every day. The most challenging aspect of my role is making the right decisions on behalf of the team and ensuring their happiness.
What I find most fulfilling is assisting my team members, overseeing their growth, and nurturing their potential so that they can achieve their goals.

This career and industry are very fast-paced, requiring one to be a professional multitasker!
You need to be creative, tech-savvy and possess an analytical mind to excel in this role. However, working with big brands is inherently rewarding and provides you with valuable experience.
